As part of cultural collaboration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Guangdong Museum, the Macao Museum and the Hong Kong Museum of Art are hosting a touring exhibition “A Tale of Three Cities: Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Export of Silk Products in the Ming and Qing Dynasties”, which takes place from 2020 to 2022. With silk exports as its theme, the exhibition features more than 110 ensembles from the three museums, presenting the landscape of the Bay Area as well as the silk production processes during the period. It explores the significance of China’s silk exports to Europe and other parts of the world, tracing the rich heritage and development of silk production techniques in China.

Following its inaugural run at the Guangdong Museum in December 2020, the exhibition is now showing at the Macao Museum until 13 March 2022, before finally making its way to the Hong Kong Museum of Art in June next year.
