Opening this Friday, February 18, this exhibition brings artistic expressions and ideas from across the Asia-Pacific region to Honolulu for a citywide celebration of contemporary art. HoMA’s presentation spans four galleries across the museum and features the work of eighteen emerging and established artists (some working as collectives), including a multimedia intervention in the museum’s Japan Gallery by social practice artist Theaster Gates.

This musical and dance presentation based on Samoanfāgogo(traditional stories) reflecting on themes of artificiality, reality, life, death, and resurrection begins at 11am. No reservations required.
